It is also a guide as to how we can all reconsider this relationship in greater depth. Developed through Emily's fieldwork and research, the book contains stories, exercises and photographic documentation that ask the reader not only to consider dirt, but to reconsider the way in which we act within and interact with landscape, and the billions of particles of matter that form it and invisibly shape our daily lives.
