The Slow Grind by Georgina Johnson
£30.00
The Slow Grind brings together social justice, climate activism, mental health advocacy, and creative philosophy for a profound and multi-faceted perspective on how to exist today and in the future. Considerations of disposable fashion sit alongside diverse representation in the creative industries; altruistic business initiatives alongside alternatives to exploitation and burnout, as well as inspiration for new approaches.
About the editor: Georgina Johnson is a polymath by nature - an artist, writer, designer, and curator, dedicated to transforming our creative ecologies. She has completed
artist commissions for The Photographers’ Gallery, Now Gallery, and The V&A (2017-2018); exhibited with The National Museums Scotland (2019), and was nominated by The British Council and The Design Museum as one of 10x10 2018. Johnson is a singular and rare voice in our creative industries for the way she refuses the status quo, prioritising shifting the paradigm over surface level or individual progress alone. By bringing her embodied experiences to the table, she cultivates tools for examining our culture and mapping out healed futures hand in hand with a constellation of innovative individuals.
