Who's a Superhero? In Conversation with Touretteshero (Jess Thom) and alabamathirteen (In person ticket FREE)

Wednesday 10 November, 6-7pm

Join us for this in conversation event with Touretteshero (Jess Thom), and artist alabamathirteen at The Tetley and live-streamed online.

The talk explores disability culture and the ways in which we can subvert and reclaim narratives around 'disability heroism', particularly during the chaos of a global pandemic.

As well as discussing the use of masks and the role of anonymity in their work, the artists also examine what it is about creating art that makes us feel powerful.

This will be an open conversation, and you're invited to join in the discussions about creativity, disability culture and our practice as artists.

Join us in person

The artists will be in conversation remotely but we're streaming the event in the South Bank Room. Join us for a drink and to see our Superheroes of Leeds exhibition!
